Where
can we write to to get our questions answered?
You can email interested@empoweringprograms.biz
What
time does each lesson take?
More or less an hour – depending on the size of
the group and their ability to master the information.
How
often should a lesson be scheduled for?
Preferably once, but not more than twice a week, far
apart, say Monday and Thursday, or Tuesday and Friday
to allow for the information to sink in and to give the
participants time to apply their new acquired knowledge.
Can
the children work on their own?
Yes, but teacher assistance is important for integrating
the information and to give support and guidance.
Is
it essential for the presenter to have prior knowledge
of bullying and emotional intelligence?
No. The lessons are planned and presented in such a way
that the presenter does not need to be too knowledgeable
about the topics. Also, with the program, the school
receives a presenters manual that explains the expectations
of each lesson as well as the information the presenter
will need for the lesson.
How
many children can work together at the same time?
It is essential that each child has the opportunity to
formulate his or her own responses to really benefit
fully. With the younger children each one needs personal
attention, so the size of the group will be for the presenter’s
judgement. For the teens the ideal would be if each child
has access to a computer. If not, let them take turns
on the computer.
Do
we have to stick to the age limits suggested?
No. You may use your own discretion. |
